The Ikon Pass is owned and operated by the Alterra Mountain Company, a group of 17 unique destinations which include Deer Valley Resort in Utah and Mammoth Mountain in California. Included on the Ikon Pass are partner resorts in Canada, Chile, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Japan.
When purchasing an Ikon Pass, there are several different options to choose from.
The full Ikon Pass gives you unlimited access to all of Alterra Mountain Company’s 17 destinations, up to 7 days each at 41 destinations, no blackout dates, a 15% discount on food, beverage and retail at select destinations as well as 10 friends and family discounts to share.
Then there’s the Ikon Base Pass which provides you with unlimited access to 14 Alterra destinations, 5 days each at 36 destinations, limited blackout dates, a 10% discount on food, beverage and retail at select destinations and 8 friends & family discounts to share. Finally, the Ikon Session Pass gives you 2, 3 or 4 days total at 42 destinations and limited blackout dates.
When purchasing an Ikon ski pass, the earlier you buy it the cheaper the price will be. The Ikon Pass usually goes on sale in early spring (usually by late March) with prices rising several times until the cut-off point which is usually in December once the season has started. A full Ikon Pass starts at around $1,309 for an adult.
