Nestled in the world-renowned Three Valleys ski area, Courchevel 1650, also known as Courchevel Moriond, offers a unique combination of charm, accessibility, and fantastic skiing that sets it apart from the other villages within the Courchevel resort. Often overlooked in favour of its glitzy neighbour Courchevel 1850, Courchevel 1650 presents a more laid-back, family-friendly atmosphere without sacrificing any of the luxury or quality of skiing.

Luxury Chalets in Courchevel 1650

While Courchevel 1850 is known for its ultra-luxury hotels, designer boutiques, and celebrity sightings, Courchevel 1650 offers a more relaxed, welcoming vibe. The village itself has retained much of its traditional alpine character, with charming wooden chalets, cosy restaurants, and local shops lining the main streets.

Glide down to less flashy 1650 where traditional restaurants sit closer to the region’s history and rustic soul than 1850’s lobster and caviar scene. Unbuttoned terraces such as Bel Air’s are easygoing sun traps to hang skis up come 2pm, while a string of hotels still offers ski-in ski-out ease and only one lift short of 1850’s coveted access to the resort’s runs and Les Trois Vallees.
