A true paradise for winter sports enthusiasts and nature lovers alike, Cortina is a captivating town in a truly spectacular setting. Although a famous racing town and host of the 1956 Winter Olympics, Cortina is also Italy’s most fashionable resort where culture, shopping and gastronomy are considered just as important (if not more so) than skiing.

The beauty of Cortina d'Ampezzo is best enjoyed with a slow ski down Vitelli slope in the Faloria area, where you can take in the breathtaking sights of the Dolomites. Celebrities and the well-heeled of society flock to the resort, which also boasts an amazing art, shopping and dining scene for your enjoyment.

Luxury Ski Holidays in Cortina d'Ampezzo

Nestled in the breathtaking Dolomite mountain range in northeastern Italy, Cortina d'Ampezzo stands as one of Europe's most iconic and sophisticated ski resorts. Known for its luxurious accommodations, world-class skiing, and picturesque landscapes, Cortina offers a blend of elegance and adventure that has drawn visitors since the Victorian era. While it retains much of its old-world charm, this glamorous resort has evolved into a must-visit winter destination for jet-setters, athletes, and non-skiers alike.

Cortina d'Ampezzo is a resort where the atmosphere is unmistakably Italian. Unlike other resorts in the Dolomites, which bear traces of Austrian or Germanic influence, Cortina boasts a uniquely Italian charm, reflected in its culture, cuisine, and fashion. Its central hub, Corso Italia, is a car-free zone lined with chic boutiques, art galleries, and cafes. Here, you'll find everything from high-end fashion to artisanal crafts, and an unmistakable sense of refinement permeates the air.

Combining jaw-dropping scenery with an effortless sense of style, Cortina is one of my favourite Italian resorts. Nestled in the heart of the Dolomites, it offers some of the most stunning skiing I’ve ever experienced, from long, sun-soaked runs like the Lagazuoi Armentarola to thrilling descents on the Tofane.
