Ferme de Moudon is an intensely private chalet, located in the ‘Moudon’ hamlet at the end of a quiet lane, just a three-minute drive from the centre of Les Gets. A talented designer worked his magic on the three-hundred-year-old alpine farmhouse to create this elegant chalet. This property has been featured in numerous articles and its construction was even shown on a special episode of Grand Designs Abroad where Kevin McCloud described the end result as ‘…like something from a James Bond set.’ The four floors and five bedrooms of this 400 m² chalet can accommodate up to 12 guests in pure luxury.

The renovation has ensured that the time-honoured architecture and authentic features of this eighteenth-century farmhouse have been preserved. The interiors are elegant, yet the textures and opulent furnishings are warm and inviting. Sofas in the drawing room surround the roaring log fire and you can enjoy meals around the candlelit dining table, which have been prepared in the open kitchen.

The large open-plan living space opens out onto a long balcony that has views across the valley and over the many trees that surround the property. There is a second living space or entertainment area, with a bar. The highlight though is the newly-built spa terrace with a ski gondola, heated pool, fire pit and hot tub.

After dinner, sink into the plush leather sofas in the entertainment area with a magazine or play a leisurely game at the billiards table. This entertainment room has a television and games area with state-of-the-art technology, a giant plasma screen and access to a terrace on the ground floor. Ferme de Moudon also has a sunken outdoor hot tub on the terrace, a sauna and a massage room for therapy treatments.

The bedrooms nestle beneath the ancient timbers and stunning mountain vistas are revealed from windows tucked under the eaves. Understated elegance reigns in the master bedroom with a super-king-size bed, and in the en-suite bathroom with soft lighting and free-standing bath.

Aside from the master bedroom, Ferme de Moudon has four more beautiful bedrooms. Three double rooms can be configured with either king-sized beds or twin beds for complete flexibility. The fifth bedroom on the top floor has been turned into a spacious family suite with a double bed, twin beds, office area and shared bathroom.

Tucked away at the end of a quiet lane in the hamlet of Moudon, this chalet offers a peaceful and private setting, while still being conveniently close to the action. Just a four-minute drive from the Perrières Express lift, guests can easily access the Morzine/Les Gets ski area. The main Chavannes gondola and Mont Chéry gondola are also only about five minutes away by car, providing access to both beginner zones and more advanced terrain. For those seeking alternative winter activities, cross-country ski trails and scenic snowshoe walks can be found nearby at Mont Caly. Les Gets village centre, with its variety of restaurants, bars, and shops, is just
six minutes away, while the larger resort of Morzine is a 14-minute drive, offering additional amenities and family-friendly attractions like the Parc des Dérêches sports complex.
