Found in the south-west region of Bagnes in Canton Valais, Verbier is a gateway to the 4 Vallées with links to the slopes of Thyon, Nendaz and Veysonnaz. Whilst this popular resort gives access to 410 km of pistes, Verbier is also one of Europe’s favourite backcountry skiing destinations providing plenty of challenging off-piste skiing for all who visit.

With several challenging ski centres around Mont Fort to explore, one of Verbier’s most popular off-piste runs is the Col de Mines.

Famous for hosting the annual World Economic Forum, Davos which can be found in the Swiss canton of Graubünden is located at 1,560m making it one of the highest cities in Europe. Sharing its ski area with its neighbouring resort of Klosters, skiers visiting Davos will have 320 km of slopes to explore, as well as the thrilling backcountry on offer. Made up of six sectors, the ski area of Davos/Klosters is perfect for intermediates however, the Bolgen nursery slope at the bottom of Jakobshorn is ideal for beginner skiers too.

Cross country skiers will have 100km of tracks to explore whilst the non-skiers of the group can make the most of the alternative winter activities this stylish metropolitan city has to offer including Europe’s biggest natural ice rink and tobogganing. For an alternative way to explore the resort, Davos also offers 160 km of winter hiking paths.
