The Ultimate Heli Ski Safari in the Swiss Alps

Day 1: St Moritz

After landing at Zurich airport you will be transferred to your luxury hotel in St. Moritz. A household name for winter sports, St. Moritz is one of the world’s most exclusive resorts with high-altitude skiing, gourmet restaurants and designer shopping. Overlooking a frozen lake, St. Moritz is notorious for its prestigious events held throughout the season from the Snow Polo World Cup to the White Turf international horse races. Make use of the hotel facilities before enjoying a delicious dinner in one of the hotel restaurants.

Day 2: Ski Day in Corvatsch

St. Moritz has three main ski areas, one being Corvatsch which extends from St. Moritz all the way to Sils via Silvaplana. The altitude and north-facing slopes mean that the snow conditions tend to be perfect from the end of November to the end of May. The cable car station at 3,303m above sea level is the highest in Graubünden and offers incredible panoramic views. The day will be spent exploring 120 km of perfectly groomed terrain, stopping for a relaxing lunch in one of the many mountain restaurants before returning to the comfort of your hotel and enjoying all that St. Moritz has to offer.

Day 3: Ski Day in Corviglia

Today will be spent on the slopes of Corviglia, the closest ski area to town where the slopes are diverse and often sunny. There are some satisfyingly steep and scenic runs down from Piz Nair at 3,057m, and the long black from the top of the funicular at Corviglia (2,486m) to Chantarella is quite a challenge. Another black run takes you from Las Trais Fluors back to Marguns.

Day 4: Off-piste heli-skiing from Hüfifirn

Take to the skies from Samedan airport; accompanied by a qualified mountain guide, fly into the heart of the snow-clad mountains. The flight alone is an exceptional experience with wonderful winter panoramas and pristine snowy slopes below. The helicopter takes you to Hüfifirn from where you will experience a thrilling 3-hour descent to Linthal before returning to Hüfifirn and making a powdery descent into the Val Russein. A taxi will take you back to the starting point where you will be met by your transfer by road to Andermatt.

Day 5: Ski day in Andermatt-Sedrun

Andermatt is back with a bang; its Gemsstock mountain has always appealed to freeriders and off-piste skiers but its new hotels and shared SkiArena with lift-linked Sedrun means it can now compete again as a mainstream winter sports resort. Lifts now link Andermatt to the high plateau at Oberalp and onto Dieni, making the SkiArena the largest ski area in central Switzerland. The jewel in its crown remains the 2,961m high Gemsstock mountain which is home to the famous Bernhard Russi black run and legendary off-piste routes such as Giraffe and Geissberg.

Day 6: Helicopter flight & ski day in Zermatt

After breakfast, take a helicopter flight to the top of Zermatt ski resort where you can enjoy skiing in the fantastic Glacier Paradise ski area, before crossing over into Italy for lunch. After enjoying the slopes of Cervinia, head back over into Zermatt and check-in for your next night of luxury.

Day 7: Ski day in Zermatt

In winter this snow-assured ski region offers 360 km of pistes in three varied ski areas: the Sunnegga-Rothorn, Gornergrat-Stockhorn, Schwarzsee and Matterhorn glacier paradise. Zermatt is great for adventurous intermediates but also offers a wide variety of off-piste runs. The resort is also home to some of the best mountain restaurants in the world; where better to stop for a long lunch?

Day 8: Helicopter flight and ski day in Les 4 Vallees plus wine tasting

After checking out of your hotel, take a helicopter flight to the top of Verbier ski resort where you have access to around 410 km of pistes in Les 4 Vallees. This is a paradise for adventurous skiers with some incredible black runs and off-piste terrain. The scenery is spectacular, particularly from the top of Mont Fort.

After skiing, there will be an easy transfer by road to Crans Montana. Stop en-route at the fabulous Clos de Tsampéhro to sample some traditional Valais wines of the region.
On arrival at the chalet, spend the evening relaxing in the spa before heading out to one of the resort’s fantastic restaurants or ordering in. For an additional charge, we can organise for a highly-skilled chef to come and cook for you in the privacy of your chalet.

Day 9: Ski day in Crans Montana

Take to the slopes once again or just enjoy a day off relaxing in the cosy chalet. The ski slopes stretch from the high plateau up to the Plaine Morte Glacier at 3,000m. Directly beyond the edge of the forest, the pistes are broad and open, ideal for beginners and powder skiers. Advanced skiers can take a chairlift to La Toula for a really challenging descent. Particularly popular are the broad carving pistes and valley descent down the Piste Nationale which, at 12 km, is the longest in the region.

The final evening meal will take place at Chetzeron, a mountain restaurant with an elevated location providing incredible panoramic views.

Day 10: Heli-skiing in Villars-sur-Ollon

After breakfast, a helicopter will transport you to the top of Glacier 3000 in Villars Les Diablerets. With over 112 km of slopes, spectacular scenery and runs adapted to all abilities, the Glacier 3000 ski area is a must in Switzerland. Glacier 3000 has the highest slopes in the Vaud Alps and seasoned skiers will enjoy challenging themselves on the Combe d’Audon, one of the toughest black runs in the region, or the Red Run which is over 8 km long with an exceptional descent of more than 1,7000 metres.

With your trip at an end, you will be transported back to Geneva airport unless of course, you wish to extend your stay...something we are happy to arrange!

Prices start at CHF 24,000 per person based on a group of 8 pax and include all transfers, accommodation, a ski guide, ski passes and ski rental. Rooms are based on two sharing a combination of grand deluxe/corner suites plus a chalet for two nights. Breakfast and lunch are included plus dinner on one night. Drinks are extra. Transport will be in a luxury minivan plus an Airbus Ecureuil B3 helicopter which are used for high-performance missions in high and hot conditions. In order to fully benefit from this package, participants should be intermediate or good skiers and physically fit. If you wish to organise an additional rest day or discover another ski area we can adapt the program to suit.
