At the end of a private road and just a short drive from the centre of Revelstoke sits the magnificent Flying Moose Chalet. The property is surrounded by breathtaking scenery including views of the Selkirk and Monashee Mountains and the Columbia River Valley. Set in heli skiing paradise, Flying Moose Chalet provides a gateway to unforgettable adventures via the private helipad designed to land a Bell 212 standard and helicopters up to 15 passengers. The 800 square foot heli lounge with coffee service in the morning and cocktail service in the evening ensures that guests receive the optimum pre-and-post-skiing experience. Every corner of this 9,000 square foot property has been carefully designed and thoughtfully decorated, creating a homely yet impressive mountain retreat.
The open-plan living area consists of a modern kitchen, a formal dining room and a breathtaking sitting room - the Great Room. In the middle of the Great Room sits a two-storey double-fronted wood burning fireplace. This space is filled with large comfy sofas and armchairs encouraging guests to sit back and relax after a long day on the mountain. On this floor you will find a well-equipped kitchen with a large island, comfortably seating 10 guests for casual dining. For more formal dining, the impressive dining room seats 12 guests. After dinner, move upstairs to the secondary lounge complete with a professional bar and games area, including a shuffleboard and ping pong and soccer table. Enjoy post-dinner activities with the whole group and a cocktail in hand.
Eight bedrooms are spread across three floors and feature traditional materials, warm colours and soft lighting to create a cosy yet sophisticated environment. Each bedroom is individually designed and has its own en-suite shower room. On the ground floor you will find two king-size bedrooms - one with a secondary sleeping room with a full-size bed and the other with a daybed. There is also one twin bedroom with two full-size beds - perfect for children to share. The main floor features an impressive master bedroom with a king-size bed and an en-suite with a walk-in shower and double vanity. On the upper floor you will find the remaining four king-size bedrooms.
Flying Moose Chalet is home to a range of luxury amenities including an enviable list of spa and wellness facilities, an entertainment room and an outdoor kitchen. Keep the children entertained in the spacious media lounge with a film while you alternate between the steam room, sauna, hot tub and 20-foot swim spa, easing the aches and pains associated with an exhilarating day of skiing. On a milder evening, sit around the outdoor firepit with a drink before making your way to the outdoor dining table where you can enjoy an al fresco meal. The property has parking for up to four vehicles and access to an eight-person Mercedes Van and driver.
