The resort is also well-known for its lively après-ski, with various bars and nightclubs providing live music after hours. With many years of in-resort experience in Verbier, we have had time to dine at the very best restaurants so have compiled our top recommendations below.

Best Verbier Mountain Restaurants

Black Tap

Situated in the Igloo building at Gentianes, Black Tap serves its signature burgers, craft beers, and shakes. Ideal for both skiers and non-skiers, this casual eatery offers a lively atmosphere, though service can be slow during peak hours. Reservations are not accepted.

Cabane Mont Fort

Situated on the stunning run from Mont Fort to La Chaux, this mountain hut is known for its relaxed atmosphere and hearty food. Cabane Mont Fort is the ideal place to enjoy a tartiflette alongside spectacular views from its spacious terrace. Table reservations for the restaurant can be made outdoors at noon but are exclusively indoors at 2 pm.

Chez Dany

Accessed via the piste from Ruinettes (stay left and follow the signs), Chez Dany is a must-visit for traditional Swiss cuisine and incredible views. For dinner, take the snow taxi up and enjoy a magical walk back through the forest.

Igloo du Mont-Fort

At Europe’s highest fondue spot, enjoy Swiss classics alongside spectacular alpine views at Igloo du Mont Fort. Don’t miss the champagne fondue or the Swiss Rock Coffee, made with espresso, apricot schnapps, cane sugar, and whipped cream.

Le Carrefour

A popular destination at the top of the Le Rouge piste, Carrefour features panoramic terraces and a menu of Alpine favourites, including rösti and hot-stone-cooked meats. Great location for non-skiers and dinner reservations too.

La Marlénaz

Accessible off-piste from Savoleyres or via a snow taxi returning by sledge, this traditional restaurant offers exquisite local specialities. The sunny terrace at La Marlénaz is a favourite for enjoying mountain views.

La Marmotte

Located on the Savoleyres slopes, La Marmotte is renowned for its croûte and regional dishes. Accessible by skiing down or walking up from Carrefour (20 minutes), its terrace is perfect for a sunny lunch.

La Pasay

Overlooking the Mont Blanc massif, this newly renovated restaurant combines a relaxed vibe with excellent local cuisine. Located in Bruson, Le Pasay is a hidden gem worth exploring.

L'Inkontro

This revamped restaurant (formerly Chalet Carlsberg) blends Italian flair with Wallis terroir. Perched at 2,450m, L'Inkontro is a stylish spot for a memorable mountain meal.

Le Bistrot

Previously known as Cuckoo’s Nest, Le Bistrot is an elegant dining spot at the top of the Funispace lift. This gourmet restaurant, led by celebrated chef Bert de Rycker (2019’s “Best Discovery of the Year”), offers refined regional cuisine. After a delicious meal, enjoy a coffee on the sun terrace. Non-skiers can access the restaurant via the Funispace bubble lift.

Le Dahu

Located at the bottom of the La Chaux ski area, this bustling restaurant offers a mix of Swiss classics, homemade pizzas (arguably the best in Verbier), and modern European dishes. Its panoramic terrace is a top spot for lunch. Below the main restaurant, a self-service area with fast food and a soft play zone for children ensures everyone is catered for. Le Dahu is accessible to non-skiers.

Le Mayentzet

Nestled at the top of the Mayentzet chairlift, this traditional Swiss mountain restaurant is conveniently positioned on the main piste from Ruinettes to Carrefour. Recently refurbished, Le Mayentzet is a favourite spot for a hot chocolate on the terrace with stunning alpine vistas.

Le Sonalon

Nestled off the Savoleyres slopes, Le Sonalon offers refined, gourmet dishes crafted with local and seasonal ingredients. Whether skiing in or arriving by road, it’s an exceptional spot for both lunch and dinner.

Ô Bois Sauvage

Located in Les Masses, this charming restaurant is a destination in itself.
